They uniquely understand the challenges faced by construction teams in the field and the office, which makes their contributions at Fieldwire even more valuable.

Get to know a Fieldie who started out as a Hilti intern before joining Fieldwire as an Account Executive in this Q&A interview.

Professional background before joining Fieldwire

The summer before my senior year of college, I landed a sales internship at Hilti. I had the unique opportunity of shadowing account managers, following them from customer to customer to learn about their needs and see where we could help. My internship project was focused around Fieldwire and my goal was to engage with Hilti customers, discuss their current software stack and daily processes, talk through any challenges they may be having, and see where there may be an opportunity for a partnership with Fieldwire.

I quickly found that Fieldwire was something that could solve many pain points my customers were experiencing and I was so fascinated by how easy our platform was to understand, even for someone who had no prior construction experience. After my internship, I knew I wanted to come back to the Hilti team. This past year, I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in business marketing and a minor in sales and have been with Fieldwire since.

Tell us about your role at Fieldwire

As an account executive, I talk to new people every day – anyone from contractors to designers to architects–and we discuss any pain points they’re having and how Fieldwire may be tailored to their needs. In a given week, I’ll reach out to anywhere from 100 to 200 people who have either created an account with Fieldwire or requested a demo from our team.

Throughout my work week, I’m constantly collaborating with other Fieldies from sales and construction. Oftentimes, I’ll loop in a construction success manager on my calls, so they can shed some light on more real-world applications and use cases for our software.

I’m here to consult and really help our customers get the most value out of Fieldwire. What excites me most about my job is watching customers realize quickly how Fieldwire can improve their own day-to-day processes.

Juliet's favorite part of working at Fieldwire

Besides getting to work with such a talented, driven, and knowledgeable team at Fieldwire, my favorite part of my job is building relationships with clients over time. My goal is to become a trusted consultant to my customers and to help them make Fieldwire a tool that makes their lives easier. It’s rewarding to see our software grow with teams as they scale and to watch Fieldwire become integral to their jobs.

My favorite feature about Fieldwire is the task management, which is really our bread and butter. Tasks make it easy to issue work, track updates, deficiencies, punch items, and just more efficiently track your jobs in one place. The endless customizability of our tasks helps make this something for everyone and plus, the mobile view is field-friendly, which is so important in this industry.

How do you think Fieldwire is impacting the construction industry?

Fieldwire is the most field-friendly software for project management out there (can you tell by our name?!). It is simple, easy-to-use, and can be learned in just a day or so, which helps our customers really hit the ground running with implementation.
